Ingredients
- Milk - 500 g
- Sugar - 30 g
- Potato starch - 15 g
- Salt - a pinch
- Vanilla Sugar - 5 g
Step cooking
- Pour 400 grams of milk into a pan with a thick bottom. We leave another 100 grams for the cultivation of starch.
- Add a pinch of salt and 30 grams of granulated sugar to the pan. Mix everything, send to the stove and bring to a boil.
- Pour 15 grams of potato starch into 100 grams of milk and mix until smooth.
- When the milk boils, pour the starch mixture into it. During the infusion process, constantly stir the jelly with a whisk so that lumps do not form.
- Again, wait until the jelly boils, add 5 grams of vanilla sugar, and then cook it for another 4-5 minutes, constantly stirring with a whisk.
- Ready jelly is poured into bowls and put in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Decoration methods and serving options
- To prevent the formation of a film on the surface, you can sprinkle jelly with sugar or powdered sugar.
- Kissel should not be boiled for a long time, otherwise it will become liquid. After adding potato starch, the kissels do not boil, but only bring to a boil, because with prolonged boiling, the paste breaks down (loses its properties), and the consistency of the kissel becomes watery.
- It is necessary to breed starch during cooking milk, if done well in advance - it will settle to the bottom.
- The original decoration of the bowls with thick contents will be a border of sugar. It is necessary to moisten the edges of the pots with water and dip in sugar. Then refrigerate. When pouring jelly, try not to touch the edges of the dishes.
- The aromatic notes of vanilla and cinnamon give a special charm to the drink. Before cooling, add a couple drops of essence. The flavoring range of jelly intended for adults will be successfully supplemented with liquor or cognac.
