Step cooking
- Any fish, for example, hake, pollock, pink salmon, notothenia, is suitable for this recipe. It is advisable not to thaw the carcasses to the end, since it is more convenient to clean them, to separate them from the bones, and when frying the fish is juicier. You can take a ready-made filet. After cleaning the fish and separating the fillet, we cut it into portions of about 4-5 cm. Note that all the ingredients are designed for 700 g of already peeled fish.
- Salt the chopped fish and mix.
- Break two chicken eggs into a bowl, add a little salt and black pepper, then mix with a whisk.
- In a bag (plastic bag) pour 2 tbsp. l wheat flour. Put part of the prepared fish in it and shake.
- Now take a piece of fish and dip in the egg.
- Pour a little vegetable oil into the pan, heat it well and lay out the pieces of fish. Fry until golden brown over medium heat.
- Peel the carrots. We will need 4-5 pcs. total weight of 350 g. Grate carrots on a coarse grater. We clean the two middle onions and cut into half rings. Pour 3-4 tbsp into the pan. l vegetable oil, heat and spread the carrots. Fry it until soft and cooked over medium heat. In time, it takes 8-10 minutes.
- At the same time, in another pan, you can fry the onions until a light golden color. Or you can do it sequentially. Frying all together is not recommended. Separately, vegetables are better prepared.
- Put carrots and onions in a bowl. Add 4 tbsp. l tomato ketchup or sauce. You can add 1 tbsp. l tomato paste. Salt and pepper, then mix well.
- Put the fish on a baking sheet. Lubricating the pan is not necessary.
- Put marinade on top of the fish, add 2 bay leaves and a few peas.
- Cover with foil. We put in a preheated oven and cook at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes. After that we take out and serve to the table as hot. It can also be served cold as a snack. It goes well with mashed potatoes and vegetable salad.
