pollock carcass | 1 PC. |
wheat flour | 100-150 g |
salt | ½ tbsp l |
sugar | ½ tbsp l |
ground black pepper | taste |
vegetable oil | 100 ml |
water | 0.5 l |
bow | 1 PC. |
Step cooking
- If your fish is frozen, then thaw it before cooking. Using a knife, clean the carcass of pollock from scales, cut off all the fins and tail. Clean all the insides and the black film very carefully, then rinse the fish well under running water.
- On a cutting board, cut pollock into small portions so that the fish is better fried.
- Pour about 0.5 liters of water into a bowl and add half a tablespoon of salt and sugar to it. Stir everything with a tablespoon.
- Transfer the sliced fish into a bowl and let it soak in sugar-salt solution for 20 minutes.
- Then put the fish on a flat plate and pepper with black pepper to taste on all sides.
- Pour about 100 ml of vegetable oil into the pan and heat it well. Pour about 100-150 g flour into a separate bowl. Throw out each piece of fish in flour from all sides and put it in a preheated frying pan. Cook the fish over medium heat.
- In the meantime, peel the onion and cut into half rings. Sprinkle the fish in the pan with chopped onion. Fried onions along with fish will soften the fishy smell and make your dish tastier.
- When on one side the fish is fried to a beautiful golden crust, gently turn over each piece with a fork or a kitchen spatula. Then cook it until a good golden crust appears on all sides. This can usually take about 4-5 minutes on each side. Cover the pan for a couple of minutes to fry the fish, reduce heat and bring the dish to cook.
You can serve fried fish as an independent dish, with vegetable salad or together with any side dish to your taste. Especially good fried pollock is combined with mashed potatoes, rice and pasta. In order to emphasize the taste of fish, you can use various sauces.
