Step cooking
- We prepare the marinade: in a small deep container we pour 1 cup of boiled water at room temperature, then add 1 tbsp. To the water. l sugar (without slide) and 1 tbsp. l salt (no slide).
- Mix the mixture thoroughly with a spoon until the salt and sugar are completely dissolved.
- Add to the marinade 4 tbsp. l 9% of table vinegar, mix it again and set aside.
- Peel the onion (2 pcs.), Wash it and cut into half rings.
- Place the chopped onion in the marinade and make sure that the liquid evenly covers it.
- Rinse the greens thoroughly under running water and chop finely with a knife. In this case, you can take not only fresh dill, but also frozen or dried (or you can do without greens at all, if for some reason you do not want to add it).
- Chopped dill is also added to the onion marinade.
- Thoroughly mix the entire contents of the container with a spoon, cover the container with a flat plate and leave to brew for 20 minutes.
- After 20 minutes, drain the vinegar from the bowl and put the onions in a serving plate. Enjoy your meal!
Decoration and serving
To make the dish look more elegant, instead of the usual onion with a golden peel, you can also take red. For a change, you can cut it the way you like: cubes, rings, slices, etc. The finished pickled onion can be served on the table with a barbecue (and, in principle, with any meat dish), pilaf, boiled potatoes, sandwiches with lard, vegetable salad, etc.
