Step cooking
You can bake a very delicate and delicious manna with pumpkin, following a step by step recipe with photos and recommendations:
- To start, turn on the oven to heat up to 190 degrees. Pour the semolina with kefir in a bowl and add a pinch of salt, half sugar and mix well.
- Cut the peeled pumpkin into pieces and rub on a fine grater. Add the pumpkin mass in a bowl to the semolina.
- Carefully remove the zest from an orange or lemon. Rub the top layer of the skin on a fine grater to a white layer. Add the zest to the bowl to the other ingredients.
- Add soda to the bowl and mix everything very carefully with a spoon until smooth.
- Lubricate the baking dish with vegetable oil and spread the resulting mass of pumpkin and semolina into it. Level well on top and send to oven to bake for 50 minutes. It is important to take an integral form for baking this mannik.
- While the manna is baking, prepare the syrup for pouring. To do this, cut the orange into two halves and squeeze the juice well into a small saucepan.
- Add water and the remaining sugar to the juice. Mix everything a bit. You can increase the amount of sugar a little if you really like sweets.
- We put the pan on a strong fire, bring to a boil and reduce the heat. Boil for 3-4 minutes, stirring. After that, turn off the heat and leave the fill to cool.
- Check the finished mannik with a toothpick, remove it from the oven and make several uniform punctures with a fork.
- Pour mannik syrup on top and leave until the syrup is completely absorbed. This usually takes at least half an hour.
- When all the syrup has been absorbed, we take out the finished mannica on a tray, cut into portioned slices and put it on plates.
