Kitchen appliances and utensils: stove, kitchen scale and other measuring accessories, whisk, tablespoon, deep bowl, glass, sharp knife.
Ingredients
Components | Proportions |
semolina | 100-150 g |
granulated sugar | 40 g |
milk | 1 liter |
salt | 1 pinch |
butter | 20-30 g |
Step cooking
- We take one liter of milk and pour 200 ml from it into a glass, which we remove in the refrigerator.
- The rest of the milk is poured into a stewpan or any other container with a thick bottom.
- Bring the milk liquid to a boil, and then reduce the heat to a minimum.
- In a separate bowl, pour 100-150 g of semolina. Adjust the amount yourself, depending on which porridge you want to cook - liquid or thick.
- We extract the previously cast milk from the refrigerator and pour it over the semolina.
- Immediately mix the ingredients until a homogeneous consistency is obtained.
- The resulting mixture is poured into boiling milk in a thin stream.
- We bring the porridge to a boil, while actively and constantly stirring it. I recommend using a whisk, then you can be completely sure that there will be no lumps. As soon as the semolina boils, boil it for another 4-5 minutes.
- At the end of cooking, add 1 pinch of salt and 40 g of granulated sugar.
- Stir everything well, and then remove the porridge from the stove.
- Pour the hot treat into plates and serve it with a small piece of butter.
What to serve
Some babies refuse to eat semolina porridge in its pure form, therefore additives and methods of serving it are equally important. I offer the simplest and most popular options.
- in the middle of semolina pour a tablespoon of regular or boiled condensed milk;
- very tasty with chocolate-nut paste, such as Nutella;
- special taste and aroma are given by a small amount of flower honey melted to a liquid state;
- fresh berries will give a more appetizing look to semolina porridge: currants, raspberries, strawberries, cherries and so on;
- a unique combination is achieved by adding exotic fruits such as banana, pomelo, mango, kiwi and much more;
- in the winter, any dried fruit is perfect;
- a special aroma and a refined taste is obtained by adding vanilla and cinnamon a minute before the end of cooking.
