Step cooking
- Boil 2.5 cups of water in a kettle. You can use a conventional or electric kettle, saucepan. Or you can boil water in the microwave. Pour 1 cup (200 ml) of pasta into a heat-resistant pan. For cooking in a microwave, glass, ceramic containers are suitable. No plastic containers are used. The priority is still the dishes for the microwave oven. It is necessary to take into account the factor that during cooking the volume of pasta will increase by about half. That is, utensils for cooking should contain cooked products.
- Pour pasta with boiling water about 1.5 cm above their level. Mix gently.
- Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil, mix the contents of the saucepan.
- Cover the saucepan loosely.
- Place the pasta pan in the microwave.
- Set the cooking timer for 4 minutes, the maximum power.
- After 4 minutes, mix the contents of the pan, set the timer for another 3-4 minutes. The final cooking time depends on the power and type of your microwave oven. When mixing the dish and removing the saucepan from the microwave, do not forget that you can get burned. Use a kitchen mitten, potholder, or towel.
- After the signal about the end of cooking, try the dish on readiness. If pasta is ready, salt them to taste.
- It is believed that the addition of salt during cooking in a microwave oven helps to digest pasta. Professionals argue that it depends more on the kind of wheat from which pasta flour was made. Cover the pan with a lid. If the dish is damp, add a little boiling water and continue cooking for a few more minutes. It happens that after cooking in pasta, water remains. Drain the broth from the pan using kitchen gloves, or discard the pasta in a colander (if you cook at home). Leave the items in the microwave off for another 3-4 minutes, allowing the dish to “reach”.
The approximate cooking time for various pasta: spaghetti - 8-10 minutes, horns 10-15 minutes, penne - 10-15 minutes, vermicelli 6-8 minutes. Microwave pasta can be served with cheese, various sauces, herbs. Macaroni can be either an independent dish or a side dish for meat, fish, salads. Milk soup is made from pasta prepared in this way, used for salads and other dishes.
