- We will prepare the necessary products according to the list and work surface. Unlike plain pasta with the addition of grated cheese, American-style pasta is cooked with a thick creamy cheese sauce. For starters, boil 300 g of pasta. We put the pan on the stove, bring the water to a boil, salt it well and send the pasta to cook until cooked. Cook pasta according to the instructions on the packaging. For this recipe, you can use any pasta: horns, spirals, shells, tubes, bows and others at your discretion.
- We rub two types of cheese - hard and soft. For this dish you need to choose aromatic and tasty cheeses such as parmesan and cheddar. You can experiment and try to cook pasta with other types of cheese. It will take a lot of cheese - about 500 g. Let's make a creamy cheese sauce. The basis of this sauce is bechamel sauce. This is a great sauce that can be used as the basis for many dishes. The sauce should be prepared in a saucepan or saucepan, always with a thick bottom. If you don’t have one, then you can use a pan. Melt 50 g of butter over medium heat.
- Pour 60 g of wheat flour and mix thoroughly with either a whisk or a wooden spatula. A homogeneous and dense mass should be obtained.
- In small portions, we begin to pour 450 g of milk. Each time we mix well so that lumps do not form and you can adjust the density of the sauce. Milk can be preheated or poured cold.
- Bring the sauce to a boil, stirring constantly, cook 1 - 2 minutes until the sauce thickens. Salt to taste. Add 1 tsp. paprika and dry ground garlic. Ground nutmeg goes well with bechamel sauce. You can also add any spices and seasonings to your taste.
- At the very end, add the grated cheese to the sauce, stir it so that the cheese is sold in the sauce.
- Spread hot pasta on a dish and pour cream-cheese sauce. Mix well so that the cheese covers all the pasta. If desired, the finished dish can be sprinkled with any greens, but just like that, pasta has a divine taste. We call everyone to the table and try.
