- leek - 1 stalk
- olive oil - for frying
- butter - 100 g
- dry white wine - 125 ml
- parsley - a small bunch
- Brazil nut - 20-30 g

Step cooking
- To prepare an unusual side dish of leeks, you will need to take as many product stems as you expect to cook (1 stalk = 1 person). Use only the stalks for the side dish, and the leaves are best left for the salad.
- Put the pan on the fire and pour olive oil into it, warm it well. Put small pieces of the stem of the leek into the hot oil. If you are preparing a small portion, then a few leaves can also be sent to the stem so that the pan does not remain empty.
- Immediately after you put the leek in the pan, salt and pepper to your liking. When the vegetable is slightly browned, turn it over to fry on the other side and immediately add 50 g of butter, reducing the heat.
- After the butter is completely melted in the pan, you can add a few sprigs of thyme, it will give the dish an unusual aroma.
- Following thyme, add 125 ml of dry white wine to the pan. You should not choose too expensive wine for cooking, a drink in the middle price category is suitable for you.
- After the alcohol has evaporated, add another 50 g of butter to the leek, cover the pan with a lid, but leave a small gap so that the steam can escape, and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- While the leek is stewed, you can begin to prepare products for decorating the dish. Ideally, finely chopped parsley, as well as chopped walnut, will be combined with such an onion. In this recipe, it is recommended to use a Brazil nut with a small amount of salt, however, your choice may fall on any other kind of nut.
- Put the finished leek on a serving dish, sprinkle it with chopped parsley, and on top with a nut. Also, leeks can be sprinkled with grated cheese and dill, or sesame seeds, which will also be quite tasty.
