Step cooking
- Pour 300 ml of warm water into a jug. Add 1 tsp to warm water. salt, 1 tbsp. l sugar and 50 ml of sunflower oil and mix everything.
- Sift 600 g of flour into a deep bowl and add 1 tsp to it. baking soda. Mix a bit.
- Adding an aqueous mixture from a jug, knead the dough. It should turn out soft and not sticky. We continue to knead on the silicone mat placed on the table.
- We will give the finished dough a sausage shape and divide it into 8 parts.
- Roll each part into a ball. We roll cakes out of balls. They should be about 20 cm in diameter.
- In the center we make 2 cuts so that the cakes are well and quickly fried. Pour 100 ml of sunflower oil into a deep pan to completely cover the bottom.
- Heat it well over high heat and fry the cakes until golden brown on both sides (about one minute on each side). It is convenient to turn the cakes with two forks, grabbing the dough with them.
Ways of decorating and serving
These cakes can be smeared with ordinary sour cream or mayonnaise, and put chopped vegetables or fruits on top. For example, an interesting combination is strawberry iceberg salad, canned corn and sliced tomatoes with the addition of leek.
In addition, these cakes can be served still warm, covered with pea puree with the addition of garlic.
Or you can experiment with sauces.
- You can serve them with traditional Mexican Guacamole sauce, which is prepared from avocado pulp with the addition of tomatoes, bell pepper, garlic, dill, seasoned with sour cream, olive oil or mayonnaise.
- Very light and tasty sauces are obtained on the basis of yogurt with the addition of garlic, chili pepper, canned green peas and cucumber.
- You can also experiment with sauces with cheese. For example, a sauce made from cream cheese, whipped with milk and chopped nuts.
- Also, many will like the sauce made from pickled mushrooms with the addition of hard-boiled and chopped eggs.
- Also noteworthy is the sauce of pickled beans, crushed in a blender with garlic, lemon peel and herbs.
- You can also serve sweet sauce based on berries, for example, strawberries, grated with sour cream and cottage cheese.
