Step cooking
- In order for the yeast in the dough to work properly, the water must be heated to a temperature of 36 - 38 ° C. In a deep bowl, which is suitable for kneading dough, pour warm water, add salt and sugar, add yeast. Mix everything well so that the salt and sugar dissolve, and the yeast activates faster.
- In small portions add flour to the liquid, actively stirring the mass with a spoon so that lumps do not form. The consistency of the dough should be thick, but soft and pliable.
- After a bowl of dough, cover with a towel and place in a warm place for about 40 to 45 minutes.
- After the specified time, the dough should increase in volume several times and become very magnificent.
- Gently place the dough on the surface dusted with flour and divide into several parts, depending on the diameter of the form in which the cake will be baked. Take one part of the dough and roll it into a round layer, 1.5 - 2 cm thick. For baking, you can take any round shape or pan without a handle, which can be used for baking in the oven. Cover the selected baking dish with foil and sprinkle with a small amount of flour. Put the rolled cake on the foil and gently smooth the dough with your hands so that it completely covers the bottom of the mold to the edges.
- The middle of the cake should be made thinner compared to the sides. To do this, take a plate of small diameter and with the bottom press the center of the cake, you can additionally help yourself with your hands. Thus, your sides should be 1-1.5 cm higher than the middle.
- Then the middle should be well pricked with a fork and grease the whole cake with vegetable oil.
- Leave the dough to fit for another 20 minutes. In the meantime, the oven needs to be heated to 200 °. Once the cake is suitable, you need to cover it on top with a piece of foil or a lid and send it to bake in the oven.
- Baking time is approximately 20 - 25 minutes. Ready cake should be very ruddy, crispy on top and soft inside. After the cake is baked, remove it from the oven, allow it to cool slightly, and can be cut into portioned portions for serving. Serve it better still hot. You can also experiment and cook Uzbek tortilla stuffed with cheese, onions or herbs.
