Step cooking
Make dough
- First of all, measure out 50 g of butter, after which we melt it over low heat until it is liquid. Set the oily liquid aside, allowing it to cool slightly. Rub the cottage cheese in an amount of 250 g through a fine sieve.
- Add 50-70 g of granulated sugar to the prepared curd mass. Adjust the amount of sweet ingredient yourself, focusing on your own taste - if you like sweet dumplings, then add more sugar.
- To give the product an appetizing aroma, add 10 g of vanilla sugar there. On top of vanilla sugar, break one chicken egg, fill in the cooled melted butter and add one pinch of table salt. Stir all the ingredients until a smooth, liquid consistency is obtained. Separately, sift 220 g of flour, after which we add it to the prepared curd mixture in small portions, each time kneading the dough well.
We make dumplings
- We divide the finished dough into two parts, one of which is rolled into a thin sausage.
- We cut the sausage into small identical pieces, 1-1.5 cm thick. We do the same with the second part of the dough.
We are preparing the product
- We fill a small pot with water and send it to medium heat. As soon as the liquid boils, add 2-3 pinches of salt to it.
- In boiling water, spread the formed dumplings. I recommend to lower the products one by one in boiling water so that they do not stick together and do not lose their shape. We expect the products to come up, and after that we boil them for another 2-3 minutes over medium heat. We discard the dumplings in a colander, and then transfer to a suitable plate. Add a little butter or sour cream and proceed to tasting lazy curd dumplings.
