Step cooking
- We spread 500 g of minced meat in a large container. For this recipe, chicken or any other stuffing is suitable. Here you can choose depending on personal preferences.
- Boil 1/2 stack. white rice. It is better to take round-grain rice, because due to its stickiness, it will hold meat and cabbage rolls will not decay. Mix the minced meat with rice.
- Then peel 1 medium-sized carrot and rub on a coarse grater. Peel the onion from the husk and cut into small cubes.
- We heat the pan, pre-lubricating it with 1 tbsp. l vegetable oil and fry carrots and onions until golden brown. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Very finely chop 200 g of cabbage. For this purpose, you can use a vegetable cutter or shredder.
- Put the chopped cabbage in a bowl with minced meat and mix thoroughly.
- After that, add the frying and mix again. Next, salt and pepper to taste. You can use plain black ground pepper or a mixture of peppers.
- We wet our hands in water, pick up the required amount of minced meat with a spoon, and form a ball from it with our hands. After that, the formed ball is laid out in a ceramic baking dish. We carry out the same sequence of actions with the remaining minced meat. About 15 cabbage rolls come in standard form.
- Pour billet for stuffed cabbage with lightly salted tomato juice. Juice should completely cover cabbage rolls.
- Sprinkle a little sugar on top. It will take about 1/4 or 1/2 tsp. This will make the sauce slightly sweet, which will emphasize the taste of the main course. Also at this stage, you can pepper the dish a little more or add any other spices as you wish, for example, bay leaf. We cover the baking dish with foil and turn its edges inside the mold so that condensate does not drain into the oven.
- Put the form in a preheated oven to 200 degrees and bake for 50-60 minutes. The total baking time may vary, depending on the characteristics of the oven and the size of the stuffed cabbage. You need to navigate by the degree of preparedness of cabbage. The finished dish is served hot. Enjoy your meal!
