Step cooking
- We wash rice in the amount of 125 grams under running water. We put the rice in a small pan, fill it with two glasses of water, put it on the fire, bring it to a boil, cook until tender. We remove to the side, let it cool. Then finely chop 350 grams of fresh cabbage, squeeze it a little, set aside.
- We peel one onion from the husk, wash it under the tap, finely chop on a cutting board, remove until sideways.
- Stuffing pork and beef is placed in a separate container. Take 1 kg of this stuffing. Add chopped onions and cabbage to it, rice cooled to room temperature. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until smooth.
- We will form meatballs from the minced meat, put them in a refractory form.
- Now we turn to the preparation of sauce for lazy cabbage rolls. In a separate container we mix one glass of broth, 100 grams of sour cream of any fat content, add one teaspoon of salt, 2-3 pinches of black pepper, one teaspoon of sugar, 1-2 pinches of sweet pepper. I wash one large fresh tomato under the tap, finely chop on a cutting board, add to all other ingredients, mix everything.
- The resulting sauce is poured into a heat-resistant container to the formed lazy cabbage rolls, cover the form with a lid, sent to the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 40-50 minutes. The baking time depends on the size of the cabbage rolls: the larger the size of the cabbage rolls, the more time it takes to cook them.
- After 25 minutes, we take out the baking tray with cabbage rolls from the oven, turn them on the other side, put them in the oven again and continue to bake until cooked.
Useful Tips
- One glass of broth for cooking sauce can be replaced with one glass of boiled water, this will not affect the taste of the dish.
- If you did not find fresh tomato for sour cream sauce, you can replace it with two tablespoons of tomato paste.
- Ground black and sweet red ground pepper can be replaced with a special mixture of peppers.
- To prepare such a product, you can use not only pork and beef, but also any other minced meat.
- Use sour cream of any fat content for the sauce, but fat sour cream will have a better effect on the taste of the finished dish.
