Step cooking
- We rinse one bell pepper, remove the stalk and seeds, cut in half and cut into thin strips. Pepper is better to use red or half red and half yellow to make the finished dish look beautiful.
- We rinse the medium-sized carrots, peel, cut into thin strips. If you wish, you can grate the carrots on a coarse grater or on a grater for Korean carrots.
- We clean the middle onion, rinse, cut into thin half rings.
- 400 g chicken fillet is also cut into thin strips.
- We put a pot of water on the fire, let it boil. Add a teaspoon of salt and send the udon noodles. There are proportions that are recommended to stick with when cooking pasta. 100 g of pasta and 10 g of salt are added per liter of water. We boil 250 g of noodles, which means we need 2.5 liters of water and 25 g of salt. After the noodles boil, boil it for 3-4 minutes, discard in a colander, rinse with running water. Cooking times for each noodle variety may vary. Therefore, follow the instructions on the packaging.
- We put the pan on the fire, add two tablespoons of vegetable oil, let it warm. Pour pieces of chicken and fry for 5 minutes over high heat, stirring regularly.
- Add the onions and fry for a couple more minutes.
- Then add the carrots, mix.
- After a minute, add the bell pepper, fry for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Pour 75 g (half of the whole portion) of teriyaki sauce, mix and fry for a couple of minutes. Vegetables should stay a little crunchy.
- Pour the noodles into the pan, pour 75 g of teriyaki sauce on top, stir and fry for a couple more minutes. After that we can serve.
- Pour into portioned plates, sprinkle with chopped herbs and sesame seeds on top.
Instead of teriyaki sauce, you can use ordinary soy or cook garlic, homemade. To do this, put a stewpan with a thick bottom on the fire, pour 150 g of soy sauce into it. Add two tablespoons of cane sugar and 3-4 chopped cloves of garlic. Let it boil, check that the sugar has melted, and you can use it for its intended purpose.
