Step cooking
- For the dish you need 500 g of liver. You can use pork, beef or chicken liver. The latter is the most soft and cooks faster. If you nevertheless chose pork or beef liver, as in the recipe, then it must be soaked in milk or in water for at least 1 hour. Do not forget to remove the film from the offal, which can be on both sides, before starting soaking. If this is not done, then the finished liver will turn out to be very stiff.
- While the liver is soaked, we are preparing other ingredients. We chop a large onion weighing about 100 g in any way convenient for you. Vegetable can be chopped into small cubes or cut into half rings, but then it will be more noticeable in the finished dish.
- After soaking the liver in milk, it must be washed under running water. Cut the beef liver into arbitrary pieces. In this recipe, the offal is cut into small strips that cook quickly. If coarse veins are caught, they must be cut out.

- On the heated oil in a slow cooker, spread the chopped onions and fry for 2 minutes.
- After 2 minutes, add the chopped liver to the onion. Mix a little and fry the ingredients. 2-3 minutes are enough for the liver to grab on all sides. Turn off the frying mode.
- In a slow cooker for onions and liver we send 150 g of sour cream and salt all the ingredients. For such a quantity of products 1 tsp is enough. salt, but you can salt the dish to your taste.
- We mix everything well with a spatula so that the sour cream is evenly distributed throughout the liver. If you like a thinner liver, then add some boiled hot water.
- Close the multicooker lid, select the “quenching” mode and set the timer for 10-15 minutes. We wait until the liver is cooked. A chicken liver is prepared in a similar way, while its stewing time is the same.
- After a quarter of an hour, the liver in sour cream is completely ready. You can serve it with any side dish to your taste. The liver stewed in sour cream is very tender and soft, and goes well with buckwheat, mashed potatoes or pasta.
