Step cooking
- The upper parts of the chicken legs - thighs - are washed with running water, blotted with a paper towel, removing moisture, sent to a deep bowl. Sprinkle the hips with 2 pinches of black pepper and salt to your taste, mix thoroughly. If you wish, you can take chicken drumsticks or wings, while the essence of cooking remains the same.
- We put the pan on the fire, pour the vegetable oil, spread the hips and fry on both sides until golden. In time, this is approximately 5 minutes on each side.
- While the meat is fried, prepare the vegetables. We clean one medium onion or half large, rinse with running water, cut into small cubes.
- We wash 150 g of champignons, cut them into half rings or small cubes, it depends on your preference. The number of vegetables can be more or less if you want to get a richer sauce, or vice versa.
- We get the fried meat from the pan and pour the onion into it, without changing the vegetable oil. During frying, add one tablespoon of butter, mix well.
- When the onion becomes soft, add chopped mushrooms to it, mix, add a little salt and pepper. Fry until the mushrooms let the juice and change color.
- Pre-cream cheese is removed from the refrigerator to make it even softer. We send a slice of cream cheese (about 120-150 grams) to the pan to vegetables, knead it, let it melt completely. Instead of cheese, you can add the same amount of sour cream with a fat content of 20%.
- When the cheese has melted, add 400-500 ml of water, mix well, so that the cheese dissolves in water, bring to a boil.
- Once it boils, dip the fried chicken thighs in the sauce and cook for another 20 minutes.
- After that, remove from heat, chicken with mushrooms in a creamy sauce is ready. You can serve as a fully prepared dish or to your favorite side dish. It is very tasty if mashed potatoes, rice or barley porridge serve as a side dish. You can serve meat to a salad of fresh vegetables - greens, cabbage and cucumber or tomatoes, cucumbers, greens.
