Using these ingredients, you can bake one big Easter cake or 5-6 small ones.
- If you bake Easter cake in a bread machine for longer than 3 hours, we recommend reducing the amount of yeast.
- You can add more sugar if you like sweet pastries.
- Yeast should be light in color, have a pleasant smell and break easily.
- You mix a mixture of nuts, dried fruits and candied fruits to your liking.
- If your eggs are not homemade, but from the store, then for the color you can add a little turmeric.
- If you don’t have a bread machine, you can bake Easter cake in the oven.
Step cooking
You can cook such a wonderful and delicious Easter cake, following the step-by-step recipe:
- Prepare the oil in advance. It should be at room temperature. Or slightly flood it in the microwave. Dissolve yeast in warm milk. It should not be hot! Otherwise, the yeast will die.
- Beat the eggs with a fork in a separate bowl. Sift the flour. If you use dry yeast, mix them with flour. If your cottage cheese is grainy, grind it through a sieve. Combine all the liquid foods in a bucket of breadmaker: milk with yeast and eggs.
- Then pour sugar and flour, then pour in the butter. If you use dry yeast, the oil must be infused immediately after the eggs in order to isolate the yeast from fat, if possible. Add salt.
- Next, put the bucket of ingredients in the bread maker. Select the desired program. Kulich can be baked on the first standard program, the cooking time is about 3 hours. You can also choose a program of sweet pastry. We set the weight of 0.9 - 1 kg. Choose a medium crust.
- Load candied fruits in a special container. If your bread machine does not have such a compartment, pour candied fruit into a bucket after the dough is kneaded (after about 30 minutes of mixing).
- The dough in the end is tender, elastic and slightly sticky, but it should not stick to the walls of the bucket. Then the dough is set and fits. Ready cake is rosy and fragrant. Remove the bucket from the bread maker immediately after the end of the program. Take the cake from the bucket immediately so that it does not become damp.
- Cool completely on a wire rack by wrapping in a towel.
Glaze
You can prepare the icing according to your own recipe, or you can use our recommendations:
- Combine the cream and chocolate, melt in a water bath or in the microwave pulses for 5 - 10 seconds., Each time getting out and mixing. It is very important not to overheat. Leave the icing to cool slightly and thicken.
- Cover the fully cooled cake with chocolate icing. Garnish with candied fruit and halves of mini tangerines on top.
