Ingredients
Name | amount |
Rabbit carcass | 1 kg |
Potatoes | 400 g |
Carrot | 1 PC. |
Red onion | 1 PC. |
Mayonnaise | 150 g |
Garlic | 3-4 cloves |
Ground red pepper | ½ tsp |
Ground black pepper | ½ tsp |
Rosemary | ½ tsp |
Thyme | ½ tsp |
Salt | taste |
Step cooking
- We wash the rabbit carcass under running water and dry it with paper towels. We cut it with a knife: first we separate the legs, cut the skeleton in half and arbitrarily divide along the ridge.
- We wash and peel potatoes, carrots, garlic and onions from inedible parts. Cut in the following way: potatoes - in large pieces (if it is small, leave whole), carrots and onions - in rings, and garlic is either halved, or left as is.
- Put the meat in a deep bowl, add salt and spices to taste. Seasonings should be a total of 1-2 tbsp. l., so feel free to add as many species as possible.
- Pour the meat and spices with mayonnaise (can be replaced with sour cream or yogurt without fillers), mix everything thoroughly and let the rabbit marinate for 20-30 minutes.
- Lay out potatoes, onions and carrots in layers in a baking dish.
- Put pieces of meat on top and pour the marinade.
- Between the slices we put the cloves of garlic.
- We cover the baking dish with foil, send it to the oven preheated to 180 ° C and bake for 40 minutes. The meat is well baked and will become tender and juicy.
- To make the meat brown and cover with a delicious crust, remove the foil over time and let it bake for another 10-15 minutes.
- We serve meat with potatoes and other vegetables as a separate dish for lunch or dinner with fresh herbs, bread, vegetable salads and your favorite drinks.
