Ingredients
- Milk - 500 g
- Egg yolk - 4 pcs.
- Sugar - 150 g
- Corn Starch - 50 g
- Vanillin - 2 g
- Butter - 100 g
Step cooking
- Pour 500 grams of milk into the pan, put on the stove and heat to a very hot state.
- In a separate container, mix 4 egg yolks and 150 grams of granulated sugar. Grind these ingredients together until you get a pale yellow mixture. The easiest way to do this is with a mixer or whisk.
- Add 50 grams of starch to the yolks and mix until smooth.
- When the milk is heated, add a small part of it to the bowl with the yolks and mix thoroughly with a whisk. We do this carefully so that the yolks do not curl.
- Pour the egg mixture into the remaining milk in the pan and put everything on the stove.
- Cook the cream until thickened and do not forget to constantly stir it with a whisk.
- A minute before cooking, add 2 grams of vanillin and mix. Add 100 grams of butter to the hot cream and mix everything again.
- Pour the finished cream into a bowl, cover with cling film and allow to cool.
- In a separate container we put 100 grams of butter and beat with a mixer.
- When the cream has cooled, add it in parts to a bowl of oil and continue to whisk until smooth.
- We grease the roll with the finished cream, let it brew and serve.
Decoration methods and serving options
- Be sure to remember that the oil and cream must be at the same temperature, otherwise they will not mix into a homogeneous mass and exfoliate. You can fix the stratification by heating the cream in a steam bath.
- In this case, you must use a whisk and a mixer. A spoon will not work, as it will not be enough to mix the cream during cooking.
- With this cream you can smear any cakes, rolls. Decorate them with cakes and other desserts. And in France it is even served as a separate dish.
- If you decide to serve the cream separately in a bowl, then you can decorate it with fresh berries, grated chocolate and fruits.
- To give the cream any taste other than creamy, just add the right ingredient to it. For example, cocoa powder, flavors and food colors will add sophistication and color to your dessert.
