- We peel 0.5 kg of potato, cut it into small pieces, pour 1.5 liters of water, put on a large fire and wait for the liquid to boil. When the water boils, reduce the heat and cook the potatoes until soft for 20 minutes.
- Peel 2 onions from the husk and cut them into small cubes.
- Pour 1 tbsp into the pan. l sunflower oil and put on medium heat to warm it up. When the oil has warmed up, put the chopped onion in a frying pan and fry it until golden brown, stirring it regularly with a spatula, then turn off the heat and leave the onion to cool slightly.
- After 20 minutes after boiling water, turn off the fire, carefully drain the water and mashed potatoes in a mashed potato.
- Grind the slightly cooled onion in a blender, add it along with 0.5 tsp. salt, 0.25 tsp black pepper and 0.25 tsp ground red pepper in mashed potatoes and mix everything thoroughly.
- In a deep plate, beat with a fork 1 chicken egg with 0.25 tsp. salt and 0.25 tsp ground red pepper. Pour 3 tbsp on a dinner plate. l crackers for breading.
Cutlets
- We take about 1/10 of the mashed potatoes and form a cutlet out of it, trying to squeeze the mass more tightly with our hands so that there are no voids with air inside.
- Dip the formed cutlet on all sides into a beaten egg, then roll in breadcrumbs so that they completely cover the surface, then put the product on a cutting board.
- In a similar way, we form another 9 cutlets.
- Pour 3 tbsp into the pan. l sunflower oil and set to warm up by turning on medium heat. When the oil has warmed up well, put the potato patties in the pan and fry them until they are golden brown, then turn them over and fry them on the other side until the same delicious crust is obtained.
- We put ready cutlets on a dinner plate and serve with salad or sauce on the table.
