Ingredients
- Oatmeal flakes "Hercules" - 200 g
- Potato - 250 g
- Onions - 1-2 pcs.
- Garlic - 2-3 cloves
- Boiling water - 200 ml
- Refined vegetable oil - 3-4 tbsp. l
- Coarse salt - 1 tsp.
- Pepper, spices - to taste
Step cooking
- In a capacious cup, pour 200 g of instant oatmeal with a glass (200 ml) of boiling water. Set aside the cup with Hercules boiled water for 15-20 minutes so that the flakes swell. If you use regular oatmeal, which is boiled for a long time, leave the cup with the contents for 30-35 minutes.
- Grind 1-2 heads of onions together with 2-3 cloves of garlic with a blender. If the bulbs are large, one head is enough. But the amount of onion depends on the taste preferences of the cook.
- Dissolve two or three potato tubers (250 g) on a fine grater.
- After a quarter of an hour, put in blended onions with garlic and grated potatoes in oatmeal. Moreover, the liquid (vegetable juice from potatoes and onions) is not necessary to squeeze!
- Mix the contents of the cup thoroughly, add 1 tsp. without a hill of coarse salt, and a pinch of ground black pepper. Seasonings and spices are added to cutlets if desired.
- To sustain the cutlet mass for another 10 minutes, so that the flakes absorb vegetable juice. With wet hands, form cutlets from the cutlet mass.
- It is good to heat a frying pan with 3-4 tbsp over medium heat. l vegetable oil.
- Without reducing the flame, put the formed patties into the preheated oil, and cover the pan with a lid. Fry the patties on both sides for 7-10 minutes until golden brown.
- Put ready cutlets on a large serving plate, decorate with herbs and serve as a side dish or main dish. Oat cutlets can be served both hot and cold.
