Step cooking
- We begin to prepare the ingredients. Soak lentils in advance for at least 8 hours. It is best to soak it for a day. Then, before cooking, rinse it in cold water several times.
- We rinse the rice in cold water until transparent and let the water drain.
- We well heat the pan over high heat - it should be hot. Reduce the heat to medium and add olive or any other oil.
- Fry rice in a pan for about 3 minutes, stirring with a spatula. Rice should completely absorb all the oil and fry a little.
- Add salt to the pan, mix the rice and fry for another 30 seconds. Add boiling water, about 2 cups.
- Mix well, cover the pan with a lid and reduce heat to a minimum. Leave the rice to cook for 20 minutes. We do not lift the lid all the time and do not mix the rice - it cooks on its own.
- Rub carrots on a coarse grater.
- We heat the pan and add vegetable oil. Fry the carrots for about 2-4 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Add lentils, fried carrots, salt, pepper and paprika to the bowl of the combine. You can add any other spices as desired, or not add them at all. Lentils in itself give a pleasant taste.
- Cover and grind the ingredients to a shallow state. We periodically open the combine and remove the minced meat from the edges with a spoon so that it grinds well.
- Stir the minced meat from lentils and carrots with rice until smooth.
- We begin to collect cutlets. We set ourselves a container with water, a plate for cutlets, a bowl with a mixture and a plate with bran for breading. We form the cutlet, roll it in bran and do the same steps with the other cutlets. Hands are washed periodically in containers with water.
- Heat the pan and add oil. Fry the patties in oil on both sides until cooked.
- Remove the cutlets from the pan and put on a plate. Done! Cutlets on top can be sprinkled with dill or other herbs. Enjoy your meal!
