Kitchen appliances and utensils:
- copper or ceramic Turk (volume 100-150 ml);
- mixer;
- pan with a capacity of 1 liter;
- capacity for whipping cream (with a volume of at least 1.5 liters);
- pastry bag;
- a small strainer;
- 350 ml irish glass;
- cocktail straw;
- cream spoon with a long handle.

Step cooking
Double espresso
- Pour fresh finely ground coffee (20 g) into the turk.
- Add granulated sugar (10 g), mix. Warm the coffee and sugar mixture over very low heat for 1-2 minutes (no smoke), stirring.
- Pour warm water (70 ml) into the turk.
- Bring coffee to a boil, immediately remove from heat.
- Stir the coffee. Bring to a boil again.
- Strain.
Making caramel
- Pour water (150 ml) into a small saucepan (1 liter capacity). Bring the water to a boil. Put sugar (150 g). Shuffle.
- Cook 5-6 minutes until thickened and the appearance of a characteristic caramel color.
- Add vanilla essence (1.5 ml). Shuffle. Remove from heat. Pour caramel into storage utensils.
Cooking whipped cream
- Cool well the container in which you will whip the cream, whisk for whipping (put in the freezer for 10 minutes). Cool Valio cream (250 ml) with 36% fat by refrigerating for 1 hour. Pour chilled cream into a cold container.
- Knock down with a mixer for 30 seconds at low speeds.
- Add icing sugar (30 g).
- Beat for 5 seconds at low speeds, then go to high speeds for about 1-2 minutes.
- Whipped cream is a thick lush foam with sharp peaks after raising the whisk from the mass. If you don’t feel like it, use ready-made whipped cream in a bottle.
Making Macchiato Coffee
- Pour 350 ml of caramel (40 ml) into the irish glass.
- Pour granulated sugar (10 g).
- Pour 60 ml of double espresso.
- Mix well until sugar dissolves.
- Add hot milk (220 ml).
- Put cream (100-120 ml) with a beautiful slide using a pastry bag.
- Sprinkle cream with cocoa powder (5 g) using a strainer. Pour a thin stream of caramel, creating a beautiful pattern on the surface of the cream.
When serving, add a straw and a cream spoon to the glass (or serve it separately). To get several servings of macchiato coffee, increase the amount of the ingredients proportionally.
