Kitchen appliances and utensils: copper Turk, stirring spoon, tall figured glass.
Ingredients
Name | amount |
Ground coffee | 2 tsp |
Purified drinking water | 100 ml |
Granulated sugar | 1 tsp |
Vanilla ice cream | 70 g |
Step cooking
- Pour natural finely ground coffee (2 tsp) into a copper Turk.
- Pour 100 ml of cold purified water.
- Bring coffee to a boil over low heat. As soon as the drink begins to boil, remove it from the heat. Repeat the process again. Set the Turk with coffee aside so that the coffee grounds settle to the bottom and the drink itself cools down.
- Put vanilla ice cream (70 g) in a tall curly glass.
- Add granulated sugar (1 tsp).
- Pour the cooled coffee into a glass. Pour gently so as not to shake the settled coffee grounds.
- Serve.
Ways to decorate and serve the drink
Very often, glasse coffee is served on a plate decorated with a beautiful lace napkin. A dessert spoon and a cocktail straw are placed nearby.
There are many types of drinks. In the classic version, glasse coffee is a cooling dessert and consists of cooled (or very cold) coffee and ice cream. For such a drink, three parts of the drink and one of ice cream are taken. Another hot variety of glasse coffee is also being prepared. During preparation, the coffee is not cooled, but only carefully filtered: a hot drink decorated with cold ice cream is served. This combination of hot coffee and cold ice cream gives the dessert a special originality and taste.
As supplements in coffee glasse, you can add bitter or milk chocolate, egg yolk, cream, honey, cinnamon, vanilla, alcohol (cognac, liquor, rum, other alcoholic drinks) and other ingredients. When serving coffee, the glass is often decorated with whipped cream, which is sprinkled with grated chocolate, caramel syrup, finely chopped nuts, grated candies.
