Step cooking
- Sift 500 g of wheat flour into a deep container. Add salt and mix thoroughly.
- In a water bath, in a microwave or oven, melt 100 g of butter. Then we drive in 1 chicken egg, pour boiling water, melted butter and knead the dough.
- Please note that flour may need a little more or a little less depending on the amount of gluten in it. If the dough is too thick, you can add 1 tbsp. l warm water. Cover the finished dough with a towel and remove to the side.
- Peel 1 medium-sized onion from the husk and rub on a fine grater. For the filling, put the minced meat in a deep bowl (you can use beef, pork, chicken, turkey or, if desired, minced meat from different types of meat). Salt and pepper to taste. For pasties according to the classic recipe, ordinary black ground pepper is suitable, but you can also use a mixture of peppers. Add chopped onion and mix everything thoroughly.
- We divide the finished dough into small pieces of the same size, roll them into a thin layer with a rolling pin and cut out an even circle from them. If there is no such shape, you can use the bowl and plate, placing it in the center of the rolled dough and cutting it in a circle with a sharp knife.
- We spread the filling on the circle from the dough, close and fix the edges with a fork. You can also pinch manually in the form of a pigtail or wave. We carry out the same sequence of actions with the remaining pieces. We collect the dough scraps and knead into a single piece, which we also roll out and cut out a circle from it.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan. We put the blank for cheburek in hot oil and fry on both sides over medium heat.
- We spread the finished pasties on the dish, after lining it with paper towels. This is necessary so that the towels absorb excess oil. Serve hot preferably. The cooled pasties can be heated in the microwave or in a frying pan, having previously lubricated it with a small amount of vegetable oil. Enjoy your meal.
