Step cooking
- First, pour water into the pan and set it on fire to boil the spaghetti. Salt at the rate of 9-10 g of salt per 1 liter of water. You need to take bacon dried (at least six months), made of cheek. Cut into not too thin squares.
- Rub the parmesan on a grater. You can take it the more the better.
- We break the eggs and separate the proteins from the yolks. For cooking, we need 2 protein and 4 yolk.
- Beat the egg mass with a whisk for about two minutes, pour into a bowl of cheese and mix everything well with a spoon. Add black ground pepper and mix again.
- Add spaghetti to boiling water, mix to prevent sticking. Spaghetti preparedness should be checked, and not trust the instructions that are indicated on the package. We cook to the state of al dente, that is, do not cook slightly. Put the frying pan on the fire and add a little oil.
- Spread the pieces of bacon in a pan. You do not need to salt, but you can pepper to taste. Fry, stirring, over high heat. Pour a little water into the pan to the bacon. After 2 minutes, pour the contents of the pan into a bowl of cheese and egg sauce. All mix well.
- Put the spaghetti in a bowl to the other ingredients. Mix well, you can shake several times.
- In twisting movements using a spaghetti spoon, spread the pasta on the plates, add the remaining pieces of bacon on top. You can add pepper to taste. Serve Carbonara pasta hot to the table.
Cooking options
There are also other options for making Carbonara pasta:
- Some recipes add cream to grated cheese.
- You can add butter.
- For flavor, a couple of cloves of garlic are sometimes added.
- Instead of bacon, you can take brisket or ham.
- There is a recipe in which mushrooms, onions, carrots are placed in Carbonara pasta.
- Instead of water, you can add white wine.
- To taste, the dish is decorated with greens (basil, spinach, parsley, cilantro), slices of tomato, grated cheese, etc.
