Step cooking
Tortilla
- Sift 320 g flour into a deep container with 3 g baking powder for the dough, add 1 tsp. salt and mix everything.
- Add 160 ml of water and 50 ml of sunflower oil to the flour. You can also add some any spices for the aroma. Knead the dough; It should be fluffy, soft and not stick to your hands. If necessary, add more flour.
- We wrap a lump of dough in a cling film and give it a “rest” for 20 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 8 equal parts. We roll each of them to a thin pancake 20-22 cm in diameter.
- Fry each pancake in a hot dry frying pan for 1 minute on each side. We spread the finished cakes in a separate plate.
Filling
- Wash 400 g of chicken, dry with a paper towel and cut into thin strips.
- Cooking chicken marinade: mix 1 tsp. ground paprika, ½ tsp. oregano, 1/2 tsp ground black pepper, ¼ tsp. ground chili pepper (for those who like it sharper) and salt to taste, add 1 clove of garlic, passed through a press and 2 tbsp. l olive oil. Mix all the ingredients.
- Dip the fillet pieces in the marinade, mix it so that it spreads well over the chicken, and leave it for 10-20 minutes.
- Peel the onion from the husk and cut into thin half rings.
- Remove the seeds from the bell pepper and cut the vegetable into thin strips.
- Pour into the pan 2 tbsp. l vegetable oil and fry onions on it until golden brown, then add strips of pepper and fry all together for another 3-4 minutes.
- Spread the onion and pepper on a plate, and load the pickled chicken into the pan. Fry it over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring regularly.
- Add pepper and onion to the pan, as well as 150 g of canned corn. Fry all the ingredients for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove the pan from the heat.
Collecting Quesadilla
- Spread the filling evenly on one half of the tortilla. Any hard cheese (mozzarella is used in the recipe) is rubbed on a coarse grater and sprinkled with the filling.
- Turn the tortilla in half and fry in a dry frying pan for 1 minute on each side so that the cheese melts and stretches appetizingly.
- Serve with tortilla as a warm appetizer with fresh herbs, tomato or mayonnaise sauces. The dish is perfect for watching a movie or a beer.
