Ingredients
- Potato - 1 kg
- Onions - 3 pcs.
- Hard cheese - 150 g
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper to taste
- Sour cream - 100 g
- Chicken Egg - 1 pc.
- Pure water - 100 g
- Favorite spices to taste
- Butter - 20 g
Step cooking
- We clean and wash 1 kg of middle-aged potatoes and cut it into circles.
- We clean, wash 3 onions and cut them into half rings.
- On a coarse grater we rub 150 grams of hard cheese. It is recommended to use a product that lends itself well to melting.
- We put the potatoes in a separate bowl, add salt, black pepper and favorite spices to taste. Mix everything thoroughly.
- In a separate bowl, break 1 chicken egg, add 100 grams of sour cream and 100 grams of clean cold water. Mix everything well and add to taste. Keep in mind that potatoes are already salted.
- Lubricate the baking dish with the sides with 20 grams of butter and spread evenly half the chopped potatoes.
- We spread all the chopped onions and cover with the remaining potatoes.
- Pour the vegetables with sour cream mixture and sprinkle with grated cheese.
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. When the oven has warmed up, cover the baking dish with foil and leave to cook for 60 minutes.
- After an hour, remove the foil and bake for a while until the crust forms. We take out the finished potatoes from the oven, let it cool slightly and serve.
Decoration methods and serving options
- If you want the dish to be more satisfying, use sour cream of high fat content.
- For a richer creamy taste, you can add melted butter or cream to the fill.
- It is important not to overdo it with salt and seasonings, as you will have to salt and pour, and potatoes.
- This dish can easily be supplemented with other vegetables. For example, chop tomatoes, zucchini, bell peppers or carrots. In this case, it all depends on your taste.
