Ingredients
- Potato - 1 kg
- Hard cheese - 300 g
- Butter - 80 g
- Chicken Egg - 1 pc.
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Cream 10% - 200 ml
- Chives - 1 bunch
- Nutmeg - 1 pinch
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper to taste
Step cooking
- Pass through a press 1 clove of garlic and mix with 80 g of soft butter. With this mixture, grease the bottom and sides of the baking dish.
- Rinse and peel 1 kg of potatoes, then cut into 2 mm thick circles. On a coarse grater we rub 300 g of any hard cheese. It must necessarily be of high quality, so that during baking it melts and turns into a crust.
- In a separate container, pour 1 cup (200 ml) of 10% cream. Add to them 1 chicken egg, a pinch of nutmeg, salt and pepper to taste and half the whole grated cheese. Mix.
- We overlap potato mugs on the bottom of the baking dish in several rows. After that, pour cream sauce, the cheese from which is evenly distributed over the area of the form.
- Sprinkle potatoes with the remaining hard cheese and send to the oven, preheated to 200 ° C. Estimated baking time - 40 minutes.
- After the right time, we take the potatoes out of the oven and sprinkle with chopped green onions on top. Although the dish is self-sufficient, you can add any meat products, sauces and fresh vegetables to it.
