Sauerkraut is an indispensable source of vitamins and an excellent snack for the winter. It can be used to prepare various dishes, or served on the table in its pure form. We offer you a very simple and quick recipe for sauerkraut, which will surely appeal to you and your family.
- On a coarse grater, rub 400 g of carrots.
- Using a shredder, cut 1.5 kg of white cabbage.
- We combine cabbage with carrots and mix the ingredients.
- Add 2 bay leaves to the vegetables and transfer everything to a 3 liter jar.
- Pour into a jar 1.5 tbsp. l salt, 2 tbsp. l sugar, and pour 0.5 tsp. vinegar essence.
- Making punctures in cabbage with a knife, fill the contents of the can with boiling water.
- Add 2 tablets of acetylsalicylic acid to vegetables. We roll the jar with a metal lid, turn it over, wrap it with a towel and leave it in this position for 2 days. Sauerkraut is ready!
