Step cooking
- We put a deep pan on the fire and pour about 1 liter of water into it.
- There we add a pinch of salt and sugar.
- We divide the cauliflower into inflorescences, rinse them, immerse them in boiling water and boil until tender (at least 10 minutes).
- Dip the cabbage in cold water and let it cool a little.
- The product is ready to eat!
Boiled inflorescences can be used as an independent healthy snack or included in the recipe for other dishes. For example, you can bake a pie, boil soup or just fry the vegetable in breading.
Useful Tips
In order for your cauliflower to have a pleasant taste and the right structure, follow these simple recommendations:
- Choose a cream-colored cabbage and make sure that the vegetable does not have brown or yellow spots.
- Inflorescences of cabbage should fit snugly together, be firm and resilient.
- Leaves at the base of the head should be fresh and have a beautiful green tint.
- If you digest the inflorescences, they will become too soft and tasteless, so be guided not only by time, but also by the appearance of the vegetable. It should be easily pierced with a fork or knife.
- If you are going to give the cabbage additional heat treatment, it is better to leave it slightly undercooked.
