Step cooking
- Pour 200 g of pearl barley into a colander or sieve, rinse it well under a stream of warm running water. Pour the washed barley into the pan in which you are going to cook it.
- Boil 300 ml of water in a teapot; pour boiling water over boiling water for 30 minutes. This will then accelerate the cooking of pearl barley.
- After 30 minutes, drain the water with which the cereal was poured. Pour 600 ml of water into a pan with pearl barley, put it on low heat and add salt to taste.
- Cover the pan and watch for the water to boil.
- After boiling the barley, constantly stir it so that the porridge does not burn. Cook for another half hour.

Chicken Steak: Preheat the pan, pour a little vegetable oil, put your steak in the pan, salt and pepper when frying. Fry over high heat for 1-1.5 minutes on each side.
Meat sauce:Cut 200 g of meat (chicken, pork, beef) into small pieces, fry the meat with one finely chopped onion and one grated carrot, after frying, pour 50-70 ml of water into the pan, add 2 tablespoons of sour cream or tomato paste (optional), cover and simmer for 15-30 minutes (depending on meat). Salt and pepper to taste.
Vegetable salad:wash and chop one fresh tomato, one cucumber, one lettuce pepper, peel one small onion and chop finely. Sprinkle vegetables in a salad bowl, sprinkle with olive oil, salt to taste.
Also for taste, you can add to the porridge 15-20 g of butter, sprinkle with grated cheese and herbs.
