Ingredients
- Chicken breast - 1 pc.
- Drinking water - 1.5 l
- Bay leaf - 1-2 pcs.

Step cooking
- Use one chicken breast without cutting the flesh. Cut off the skin from the breast, put in a small pan. Add 1.5 liters of cold water. We put the pan on the fire.
- Under running water, wash one bay leaf, three or four peas of allspice. Add to the pot with meat. Immediately salt the broth with one teaspoon of salt. Instead of bay leaf, you can use two or three leaves of fresh basil. We peel one small head of onion, wash it, put it in a pan as a whole. If you like garlic, you can also add one clove. In addition to these spices for cooking meat, you can add hops-suneli, any seasoning for meat. It all depends on your taste and preferences.
- We cover the pan with a lid, wait until the water in it boils. When the water begins to boil and a foam appears on the surface, remove it with a slotted spoon or a tablespoon.
- After the water has boiled, we make the fire slow, and give the meat time to cook. Typically, the chicken is cooked for 20-25 minutes, but the chicken breast should be cooked for longer, about 30-35 minutes. It depends on the volume of the product. To check whether the meat is ready, you need to pierce it with a toothpick or a sharp fork. You need to cook the product until soft. 30 minutes have passed. We take a toothpick or fork and pierce the breast directly in the pan, we find out if it has been cooked during this time.
- The breast is quite soft, which means it’s ready. Therefore, turn off the fire under the pan with meat and leave it for a while. This will ensure the juiciness of meat.
- After a while, we take out the cooled chicken breast from the broth using a slotted spoon, place it on a plate and separate the meat from the bone. It detaches quite easily, as the breast is cooked correctly.
