Step cooking
If you cook the beans on the principle of "how it turns out," the result may be hard undercooked beans. Or, on the contrary, mashed bean beans.
Classic soaking method
- In a separate bowl, pour 350 g of red (white) beans to 750 ml of cold water. Set aside a bowl of soaked beans for 8-10 hours. This operation is best done in the evening, but to whom it is convenient.
- From the swollen fruits for a long time, drain the liquid. Rinse well under running water.
- Transfer to a convenient pan and again pour cold water in a ratio of 1: 4.
- Set a pot of contents on a large fire. Wait for boiling and reduce the flame to a minimum.
- Cook in a saucepan without a lid for 60-90 minutes, depending on the bean variety.
Quick cooking method without soaking
- Rinse 350 g of dry beans in running water.
- Transfer to a pan and pour 750 ml of drinking water.
- Place the pot on a burner with a large flame and boil the contents.
- Let the beans boil in water for 1-2 minutes.
- Turn off the burner, cover the pan with a lid and leave on the stove for an hour.
- After an hour or a half, drain the already cooled water from the beans.
- Rinse the contents of the pan, pour again and cook in the same way as in classical cooking - wait until it boils, remove the heat and cook without a lid for about an hour and a half.
Did you know? If the liquid boils quickly, the necessary volume must be filled with hot (boiling) water.
