Step cooking
- We wash several bundles of asparagus and cut off its grassy tips. To determine where the edible portion begins, simply break one branch closer to the base and rise slightly above the broken line at the larger piece. Total asparagus should be around 300 g.
- We put the pan on the stove and turn on the medium heat. We send into it 1 tbsp. l butter and olive (can be replaced with any vegetable) oil.
- As soon as the oil becomes liquid and mixes, add 1 tsp. sugar and ½ tsp salt. Mix lightly. In one even layer we put asparagus in a pan and let it warm up. After that, pour 100 ml of water, cover the pan with either the same second or the lid and cook for 3 minutes.
- After that, remove the second pan or lid, mix the asparagus, trying to turn it on the other side, and then cover it again and cook another 1-1.5 minutes.
- Again we remove the lid, set the maximum fire on the stove and wait until absolutely all the liquid from the pan has evaporated.
- Ready asparagus will be very fragrant, soft and slightly crispy inside. It can be served as a side dish for any meat (cutlets, chops, cabbage rolls, etc.) and other dishes (mushrooms, cheese, fish, etc.). As a bonus, various fresh sauces and greens are perfect.
