How to cook
- The first thing we wash with running cold water is 10 pieces of artichokes. It is best to use young dense fruits.
- Now you need to open the artichoke. To do this, we hit it several times with a bud on a flat surface so that the bud opens slightly.
- We cut the stem as close to the flower as possible, and then remove the hard upper leaves of the fruit.
- Put the peeled and open artichoke buds on a baking sheet.
- We carefully salt and pepper the fruits, we pay special attention to the open part of the bud.
- Pour 10 ml of wine vinegar into the hole at the top of the bud.
- Each fruit is abundantly watered with olive oil, approximately 10 ml.
- We heat the oven to a temperature of 180 ° C. We send artichokes to a red-hot oven, where we cook them for 45 minutes.
How to eat
- To begin, let the finished artichoke cool to a warm state. We place the artichoke on a flat plate, and then tear off the upper petals of a rough texture - they are unsuitable for eating, because they are very bitter.
- Under the outer leaves there are juicy thick petals, which we tear off and eat the white part located in the lower part of the leaf.
- The most valuable and delicious in the artichoke is the fleshy receptacle, which is located in the very center of the fruit. Moreover, in the same place, in the center, is the inedible part of the fetus, it resembles a bunch of prickly hay.
