Step cooking
Knead the dough
- Rinse 200 grams of potatoes from dirt, put it to cook. Combine dry ingredients: 2 measuring cups of flour, half a teaspoon of soda and salt. Mix.
- Add one egg to a glass of high fat kefir and beat.
- Pour the liquid mixture gradually into a bowl with dry ingredients, constantly stirring.
- Add melted butter in a volume of 30 grams. Knead the dough. It should turn out to be soft and elastic, at the same time, completely not sticky to the hands. It is possible that you need to add a little more flour. Cover the bowl with the flour product with cling film and remove for 20-25 minutes.
Cooking stuffing
- Grind boiled potatoes to a puree state while it is still hot.
- Grate feta cheese on a coarse grater. Combine both components and mix thoroughly.
Frying stage
- Divide the dough into several equal pieces. The size of the balls depends on the size of your pan and is approximately half your fist. Sprinkle flour onto the work surface.
- Roll out with a rolling pin or stretch a flour ball with your hands, put on it the same amount of minced meat from potatoes with feta cheese and pinch it on top.
- Gently flatten the cake with your fingers. Make sure that the filling does not come out. Then, gently, trying not to damage the dough, roll it out with a rolling pin to a thickness of about 2-3 mm.
- Fry the huts in a dry frying pan without oil. When one side is fried, turn over. If everything is done correctly, then during frying in a hot frying pan, the hitch can swell to a spherical shape.
- Grease the upper side with a piece of butter.
- Cook the remaining cakes in this way.
Incredibly tasty, fragrant, tender hitchies with potatoes and feta cheese were made with this recipe! You can stack them, cut into four parts, and put a piece of butter in the center so that it drains and greases the cakes from the inside. You can still sprinkle chopped dill on top, or even add it to the filling during cooking.
