Step cooking
- Heat to boiling 0.5 l of water. Pour boiling water into a deep bowl. Add 1 tbsp to the heated water. l butter and 1 tbsp. l vegetable oil. Leave the water and oil to cool for 5-10 minutes. Wait until the oil has completely melted in the water.
- Add a pinch of salt to the cooled water and oil. Beat 1 egg and add to the bowl with water, mix.
- Gradually start adding 7 glasses of flour to the water with an egg, butter and salt, constantly stirring the dough (a glass volume of about 200 ml). Knead well and then mash the dough with your hands. It should turn out homogeneous, without lumps of flour.
Ideas for the filling:
- Meat filling (beef, chicken, pork, lamb) is a classic version of the filling for pasties. Pass the meat through a meat grinder. Finely chop or scroll the onion in a meat grinder and add to the minced meat. Add salt and pepper to taste, mix well and knead the minced meat.
- Cheese filling is a quick and tasty filling option. Grate hard cheese on a coarse grater, add greens (dill, parsley) to the cheese.
- Pumpkin filling - peel and wash the pumpkin, rub it on a coarse grater. Fry the grated pumpkin in a pan until soft, while frying, add a little vegetable oil.
- Fruit filling - cut the peeled banana into small cubes. Wash the apple, peel and remove the seeds, chop finely. Peel the orange and also chop. Combine all chopped fruits in a bowl and add vanilla sugar, mix (fruits can be used any to your taste, combining different types and varieties, as well as depending on the season).
