Step cooking
- In a bowl, combine 250 milliliters of kefir at room temperature, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of sugar and 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Stir until smooth.
- Fry 40 grams of sunflower seeds in a dry frying pan. Add them to liquid ingredients.
- In a separate bowl, combine 1 cup rye flour and 1 teaspoon of soda. Sift them to the liquid components. Start kneading the dough with a spoon.
- Sift in portions from one to two glasses of wheat flour. Its quantity depends on the quality of the ingredients that you used before.
- When the spoon becomes difficult to stir, start kneading the dough by hand. Knead the dough for at least five minutes, adding flour if necessary. As a result, the dough should not stick much to the hands and walls of the vessel in which you knead it. But also it must remain soft and supple.
- From the resulting dough, form the bread of the desired size. Its shape also depends on your preference. From this dough you can make bread of any shape: round, oblong, braid, braid, in the form of baguettes, and a variety of rolls. Sprinkle a baking sheet with flour and put bread on it, which you also need to sprinkle with flour. Make cross sections on the bread.
- Send the bread to the oven preheated to 200 degrees for 30-40 minutes. Make sure that the oven is well preheated (if you put the bread in a cold oven, it may not rise). The baking time depends on your oven. Check readiness with a knife.
- After baking, let the bread cool. You can serve it to the table!
