Ingredients
- pear - 1.5 kg
- granulated sugar - 1 kg
- bottled water - 180 ml
Step cooking
- Rinse thoroughly with cold water about 1.5 kg of pears. To prepare this version of jam, the fruits must be ripe and at the same time dense.
- We wash the washed fruit in half, remove the core and cut the peel. Cut the peeled pears into thin slices and put in a suitable pan. We will need exactly 1 kg of already peeled and chopped fruits.
- In a stewpan, mix 180 ml of bottled water and 1 kg of granulated sugar. We send the ingredients to a low heat, where we bring them to a boil. Cook the syrup until transparent and completely dissolve the grains of the sweet component.
- Pour chopped pears with cooked hot syrup.
- Thoroughly stir the fruits, trying to evenly distribute the syrup over all the slices.
- Leave the pears at room temperature until the syrup cools completely.
- We send the cooled pear mass to a low fire, where we bring it to a boil. Boil the jam for 5-7 minutes. During cooking, periodically stir the pears so that they are thoroughly soaked in syrup. Set the fruit treat aside and wait until it cools completely.
- Repeat the cooking procedure again. As a result, slices of pears will become transparent. If you want to make pear jam a thicker consistency, then boil fruit jam after cooling for the third time. Pour the finished jam into pre-sterilized jars, tightly cork it and send it to a cool place for long-term storage.
