Step cooking
- We take one medium carrot, peel it and rub it on a coarse grater. Next, peel one medium onion and cut into small cubes with a sharp knife.

- We sort out about 180-200 grams of buckwheat groats, rinse and put in a pan. Following it, add 280 milliliters of water, 1-2 bay leaves, salt, and mix everything thoroughly.
- We cook buckwheat for 15 minutes over medium heat, completely covering it. Next, turn off the fire and leave to stand for another 10 minutes. At this time, you do not need to interfere with anything and open the lid so that the buckwheat can be steamed well.

Tips
- So that buckwheat does not boil, it is necessary to take 2 cups of water per 1 cup of buckwheat.
- Always sort buckwheat, even if it was purchased in a packaged store. It may contain skins, husks, impurities of any other grain or even pebbles that can ruin the finished dish.
