Step cooking
Vegetable preparation
- We clean my onions and carrots. Cut 1 carrot into strips.
- We cut 2 onions into small cubes.
- We put the pan on the fire, warm it up. Pour 2 tbsp. l vegetable oil. Spread the chopped onion. Fry until golden brown 2 - 3 minutes. Add carrot to the onion, fry for 2 - 3 minutes. Remove from heat.
Cooking meat
- Cut 450 g of meat into small pieces (we have pork), like goulash.
- We put the pan on fire, heat it. Put pieces of meat on a preheated pan. We do not pour oil into the pan. When the meat is browned, add spices: 1/3 tsp. a mixture of peppers, 0.5 tsp. condiments of hops-suneli, 0.5 tsp. turmeric. Salt to taste. Stir so that the spices are evenly distributed. Remove from heat.
Cooking buckwheat in a pot
- At the bottom of the pot, spread the fried meat. Put 2 bay leaves on top
. - We spread onions with carrots.
- Pour 200 g of buckwheat on top. Buckwheat must first be well washed and sorted.
- Add salt to the buckwheat to taste. In a teapot we boil 0.5 l of water. Pour buckwheat with hot water. In a pot, it should be 2 to 3 cm higher than buckwheat.
- Close the lid and put in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 40 - 50 minutes.
- 50 minutes have passed, our dish is ready. Buckwheat turned out to be very tender and crumbly.
Cooking options
- You can choose any meat for this dish to your taste, only the cooking time will then be different.
- Carrots, onions and meat do not have to be fried in a pan. You can immediately put the raw chopped foods in a pot and simmer them until cooked.
- To make buckwheat more rich, you can pour it not with water, but with broth.
- You can cook not in one pot, but in several. Only the ingredients will have to be distributed evenly across all the pots.
- You can add vegetables to the dish by season: zucchini, eggplant, bell pepper, etc.
- If you want a lean, light, diet dish, you can cook buckwheat only with vegetables, without meat.
- Serve better with fresh vegetables.
