Step cooking
- Peel a couple of onions from the husks and cut into small cubes, as for a usual frying.
- Two medium carrots can be chopped in any way: on a coarse grater, cut into strips or half rings.
- You can take absolutely any meat: chicken, pork, beef, turkey. 300-400 grams to clear of fat, streaks, films, etc. Cut into small pieces. Stuffing is also allowed.
- Heat 20-30 ml of refined vegetable oil in a pan, then add chopped onion. Fry for about 2-3 minutes until translucent.
- Pour the chopped carrots to the onion, mix and pass for several minutes.
- Add the chopped meat pieces, stir the contents of the pan, salt, pepper a little and fry for a couple of minutes.
- After the specified time, pour 2-3 tablespoons of ketchup. It can also be replaced with tomato paste in the amount of 1-1.5 tbsp. l
- Pour 200 grams of buckwheat in a dry form and mix everything. If the cereal is dirty enough, it should be washed first. Fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Pour water into the pan at a rate of 1: 2 in proportion to porridge. That is, you will need approximately 2 cups of clean drinking water.
- When the liquid boils, cover the dish with a lid and cook until the buckwheat is ready, reducing the heat to a minimum. It takes about 20 minutes.
That's how simple and fast we got a full-fledged, independent 3 in 1 dish - a side dish, protein and vegetables. It is perfect for both lunch and dinner.
Before serving, arrange the porridge portionwise on plates, garnishing with a parsley leaf or chopped greens on top.
