Ingredients
Red fish fillet | 300-400 g |
Potatoes | 700 g |
Hard cheese | 200 g |
Onion | 1 PC. |
Carrot | 1 PC. |

Step cooking
- Prepare all products, clean and rinse.
- Cut 700 grams of potato in half and cut each half into strips. Then put the potatoes in a bowl.
- Cut one carrot in half and cut in half rings. Also put in a bowl of potatoes. Cut the onion in half, cut each half into half rings. Put in a bowl of potatoes and carrots. In a bowl with potatoes, onions and carrots, add one or two teaspoons of salt and pepper to taste. Mix well.
- In the same bowl add 2 tablespoons of sunflower or olive oil as desired. Stir all ingredients to distribute oil.
- Salt red fish fillet on both sides.
- Prepare four pieces of foil. On each of them in the middle put the mixture with potatoes, carrots and onions. Put one slice of red fish next to the vegetable mixture.
- When all the ingredients are on the foil, form “boats” out of it - make sides around the ingredients so that the top remains open. There later you will need to add cheese. Preheat the oven to a temperature of 200 degrees. Put ready “boats” on a baking sheet with carrots, onions, potatoes and fish. Put the pan in the preheated oven for 40 minutes at a temperature of 180-200 degrees, depending on the capacity of your oven.
- While the dish is being cooked in the oven, you need to grate 200 grams of cheese on a grater with medium or large incisors. After 40 minutes, get a baking sheet and sprinkle the “boats” on top with cheese. And again, send the dish to the oven for 7-10 minutes until fully cooked.
- Get the finished dish out of the oven, sprinkle with herbs if desired. Enjoy your meal!

This simple dish is suitable not only for a regular home dinner with your family, but also for serving at an event. To make the dish look more festive, you can:
- serve it in a beautiful bowl;
- decorate the finished dish with greens and a slice of lemon;
- bake a head of garlic with the dish and serve together;
- add tomatoes, red and yellow bell peppers or broccoli to the recipe, and bake everything together - so the dish will look more vivid and spectacular on the table.
