Step cooking
- Before preparing a meal, pink salmon need to be prepared. To do this, clean it from scales and rinse. Cut off the head and tail with a sharp knife. We make an incision along the entire abdomen and get all the insides. Under a large amount of running water, thoroughly rinse pink salmon inside and out. Fillet is not required. Cut the fish into pieces of 1.5-2 cm.
- We lay out the slices of pink salmon on a plate and add a small amount of sea salt. For lack of such, you can use the usual. The procedure is performed on both sides.
- Peel a large onion from the husk, cut it in half and cut it into as small cubes as possible.
- Heat the pan and add 2 tbsp. l vegetable oil. It is important to use oil without a foreign smell, because then the dish will have an unpleasant aroma. Put the chopped onion in the pan and lightly fry over medium heat until it has a golden hue. To prevent the onion from burning, periodically mix it with a spatula.
- Cut the sliced pink salmon over the onion.
- Dilute 2/3 cup sour cream 1/3 cup plain water. Mix the ingredients thoroughly until smooth. Sour cream can be used with any fat content, but it should be at least 15%. Pour pink salmon with sour cream and season with a pinch of black ground pepper. Sprinkle some ground nutmeg on top of the fish.
- We close the pan with a lid and simmer for a quarter of an hour over low heat. At the beginning of the stewing, you can still slightly salt the broth itself so that the pink salmon does not turn out tasteless and fresh. Also, if the broth does not completely cover the pieces of fish, then water them at the beginning of cooking so that they do not turn out to be overdried.
- We lay out the ready-made pink salmon in portions and serve with fresh vegetables. This method of cooking red fish makes it juicier and more aromatic. You can cook any side dish for pink salmon to your taste, for example, mashed potatoes or boiled rice.
