Step cooking
- If pink salmon has been frozen, first defrost it. Before starting cooking, the fish must be cleaned of scales, gutted, cut off the head, tail and all the fins.
- Then separate the fish fillet from the ridge and remove large bones.
- On a cutting board, cut the fillet into portioned slices, approximately 6 pieces per fillet. Lightly add salt to the fish.
- Cut the lemon in half and sprinkle the fish, squeezing the juice.
- Sprinkle with black ground pepper to taste to taste. Optionally, you can use other spices suitable for fish.
- Peel the onion and cut it into quarter rings or half rings on the second board, as you wish.
- Wash the tomato, cut in half and cut into slices.
- Peel and grate the carrots on a coarse grater.
- Approximately 100 g of hard cheese is also grated on a coarse grater.
- Now prepare the sour cream sauce. To do this, mix in a deep plate 4-5 tbsp. l sour cream and about 2 tbsp. l milk. If desired, instead of sour cream, you can take mayonnaise, then dilute it with water. Mix everything well.
- Then pour into the pan about 1-2 tbsp. l vegetable oil, pour chopped onion into it and fry on low heat until light golden color, stirring.
- Once the onion is browned, add the carrots to it and lightly salt it. Cook the onions and carrots in a pan for about 1-2 minutes, stirring. Then let the fry cool completely.
- When the onions and carrots have cooled, turn on the oven to warm up to 200 ºС. Meanwhile, lightly grease the baking dish with a silicone oil or a spoon.
- Put the fish at the bottom of the mold in rows and pour plenty of sour cream sauce.
- Spread the onion and carrot fry evenly over the fish.
- On each piece of fish, put a piece of tomato and sprinkle with grated cheese.
- Send your fish to be baked in a preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes until the fish is ready and the cheese is golden brown. Cooking time may vary depending on the form you use. Check the readiness of the fish with a knife: if the juice is pink - the fish is not ready, if transparent - ready.
If you want to add piquancy to a pink salmon dish, then use chopped garlic for sour cream sauce.
Serve pink salmon, baked with cheese and tomatoes, as an independent dish on a salad leaf and decorated with greens. Also, rice with vegetables, potatoes or just fresh vegetables are good for this fish.
