Step cooking
- In a pot with a capacity of 1.5 liters, boil 0.75 liters. water, add 1 tsp. salt and pour washed rice. Boil until cooked for 7-10 minutes, drain, rinse the rice in cold water, put in a colander.
- Grind in a meat grinder 650 g of meat. You can take the same amount of minced meat. The calorie content and taste of this dish will vary depending on the meat you choose: the more dietary option is with turkey, chicken or beef, the more nutritious is with pork.
- In 1 large head of Beijing cabbage with wide leaves, cut off the lower part (about 3 cm) and take it apart into leaves (2-3 of the upper ones are not suitable for use).
- The thickened part of each sheet is either cut off with a knife or beat off with a kitchen hammer.
- Peel and cut into thin quarters of the rings 2 onions.
- Peel, wash and grate 2 medium-sized carrots on a coarse grater.
- In a frying pan or stewpan, heat 2-3 tbsp. l vegetable oil, put onion and fry over high heat for 1 min.
- Add carrots and fry for another minute. You can put chopped leftover cabbage to the vegetables.
- Reduce heat to medium and simmer vegetables for 4-6 minutes.
- Put half in the stuffing. In the remaining frying pan, add the tomatoes in their own juice. If you have canned food with whole tomatoes, you need to pre-knead them.
- Salt to taste, add black ground pepper on the tip of the knife, mix and warm over low heat for 2-3 minutes.
- Put half the sauce on a plate, and distribute the remaining sauce along the bottom of the pan.
- To mince with vegetables add cooled rice, 1. tsp. salt and black pepper to taste. Mix everything properly. If the stuffing is too thick and dense, you can add 1-2 tbsp. l cold water.
- On a thinner edge of a leaf of cabbage, put about 1 tablespoon of minced meat (its amount depends on the size of the leaves) and wrap it with a roll.
- Put rolled cabbage rolls in a pan with the sauce seam down, pressing to each other.
- Spread the remaining sauce on top. To prevent stuffed cabbage, you can add 0.5 stack. water.
- Put the frying pan on fire, bring to a boil, close the lid and simmer on low heat for 40-45 minutes, focusing on the preparedness of the cabbage (you can check it with a wooden skewer).
- Serve cabbage with sour cream or with the sauce in which they were stewed. Enjoy your meal!
