Step cooking
- First of all, you need to sift 250 g of wheat flour and slightly soften or heat the butter in the microwave. Also note that all products must be at room temperature, so milk and eggs must be removed from the refrigerator in advance. We put 125 g of softened butter in a beater. Add 75 sugar. Both regular white granulated sugar and brown are suitable.
- Pour 125 g of milk into the bowl and drive 2 eggs.
- Pour 250 g of sifted flour and 4 g of dry, quick-acting yeast.
Please note that if you have regular dry yeast, rather than quick or fresh yeast, you must first activate it. To do this, pour the yeast into a small bowl and pour warm, but not hot milk, mix thoroughly and leave for 5-10 minutes. And already after the foam cap appears on the surface, pour them into the bowl for whipping to the rest of the ingredients. In this way, you can also check the quality of the yeast: the louder the froth, the better the yeast. If the foam does not appear at all, then it is better not to use such yeast. - Knead the dough with a mixer until smooth.
- Then cover with cling film and let stand warm for 1 hour. Also, if you have a slow cooker, you can put the dough in a bowl and hold in a slow cooker for 40 minutes at a temperature of 35 degrees.
- To prepare Dutch waffles, we need a waffle maker or multi-baker with the right panels. Insert a panel for Dutch waffles into the multi-baker. On a preheated panel in the center of the circle, lay out about 1 tbsp. l dough without a slide or even a little less so that the waffles do not spread out of the mold.
- Close the top cover and fix it with a clip. We notice about 3 minutes. During baking, you can open the lid to control the baking process and the degree of browning. As soon as the color of the waffles suits us, remove from the mold using a wooden spatula and put it on the grill to cool.
- You can get a perfect round shape by cutting off everything that went beyond the circle. This process does not take much time.
- As a filling, you can use homemade caramel, boiled condensed milk, thick jam or honey. We spread the filling in the center of one waffle, cover the second and carefully distribute between them, slightly turning them and pressing them down. Enjoy your meal.
