Step cooking
- To start, wash 500-600 g of any meat and twist it in a meat grinder. If you twist the stuffing several times, then it will be more tender. Rinse and boil 100 g of raw rice in slightly salted water until half ready, then rinse again and cool.
- Peel 1 onion and 1 carrot, wash, and then cut into small pieces to grind them in a blender. If there is no blender, then vegetables can be twisted in a meat grinder or just finely chop onions, and grate the carrots on a fine grater. Add onions and carrots, chopped in a blender, to the forcemeat.
- Next, send 200-250 g of finely chopped cabbage to a blender, and then chop it. Next, add cabbage to the minced meat and onions with carrots. Beat in a bowl with meat and vegetables 1 chicken egg and put the cooled rice.
- Salt, pepper all the ingredients, if desired, add other seasonings, for example, paprika or suneli hops, mix.
- In a deep frying pan or cauldron, heat 1-2 tbsp. l vegetable oil. While the oil is heating, chop 1 onion at random, and grate the carrots on a coarse grater. Pour the tomatoes over boiling water, peel, grate or grind in a blender to a porridge-like state.
- In a preheated pan, send the onions with carrots and fry the vegetables until soft. Next, add a little seasoning to them, grated tomatoes or tomato paste, mix and pour 250-300 ml of water or meat broth, and then wait until it boils.
- Hands form meatballs, laying them on a plank. Peel and chop the potatoes into small pieces.
- When the tomato sauce begins to boil, add a little salt and pepper to it, put the meatballs in it, and place the potatoes between them. If there is little liquid in the pan, it can be added.
- Simmer the dish under the lid over moderate heat for 30-35 minutes, then add a few chopped cloves of garlic, herbs, a slice of butter to it, and simmer for another 3 minutes.
